I am so lucky because Choco is the sweetest cat and was so good about the 4 times a day eyedrops and ointment. I don't think Bailey would be so good.
So while we're all dealing with staying at home, Choco developed another corneal ulcer at the beginning of March. He had surgery back in 2017 but it came back. We met with the vet ophthalmologist as well as a couple of ED visits, Choco is now recovering. They removed the ulcer but also put a graft on his cornea. Will be going back in a couple of weeks so the ophthalmologist will trim the graft. Unfortunately, the graft will impact his vision. Also he was wearing a cone on his head since 3/9 and was finally free from it yesterday! He was so depressed wearing the cone, he literally stayed on my bed all day/night except to eat and visit to the litter box. I am so lucky because Choco is the sweetest cat and was so good about the 4 times a day eyedrops and ointment. I don't think Bailey would be so good.

I haven't seen Por Por since 3/8!!! And from the latest update, there are 20-30 residents in the nursing home who have tested positive for COVID-19. Por Por was tested last week and thank goodness it came back negative. But for how long? What's fucked up is if visitors weren't allowed since 3/12, then the staff must've had it and spread it to the residents. Not trying to place blame but why weren't staff tested? It's frustrating and I know other people are dealing with the same frustrations.......Por is losing weight probably cos all she has to eat is the crappy nursing home food. We all brought her food and snacks on a weekly basis. My Uncle Dave is trying to meet one of the staff when their shifts begins to give food to Por. Let's see if that helps? But it's coming on 2 months since we've seen her. Please send your prayers to my Por Por!
I'm going on almost 4 weeks now working from home. Plus been dealing with a cough that I haven't been able to shake since the end of January, Also had some cold-like symptoms but am now better. Dad is now cooperating by staying home. He went out last week and hung out at the club. But I think he finally understands the gravity of the fast spreading virus. I try and supply him with groceries every 4 days or so. I won't be surprised if he gains weight cos he is eating good! We did go visit Mom last weekend. I thought it would be safe and an opportunity to get my Dad out and about.

AuthorI'm fortunate enough to have an awesome job at a biotech company. I'm also blessed to have the bestest of friends in the world - from Castle Square, ATASK, and Jamie Club - you know who you are! Last but not least, I have a family that are always there for me. Categories |
