Then it suddenly hit me, my friend the contractor was working on installing a sump pump and he mentioned that he reset my radiators!!! And opened the valves so extra heat was coming in through the radiator. OMG, I totally forgot he did that. What's worse? The onset of senility or the perceived hot flashes? Anyways, I suffered through two months of sleep and sweat! Haha...
Women will appreciate this story.....for the last couple of months, I would wake up in the middle of the night drenched in sweat! And I'm burning up so I kept thinking this must be menopause and I'm getting hot flashes in my sleep. It got so bad I had to turn on the ceiling fan! I also turned down the thermostat to 66 which is not the norm for me. I like my place to be toasty so I'm not wearing vests to stay warm.

I cannot believe it's almost the end of January! WTF, how is time flying by so fast? I need it to slow down so my mind and body can catch up. Someone asked me what were my New Year's resolutions. Honestly, I didn't really have time to think about it. I decided instead of having only New Year's resolutions, I should just have life's resolutions: watch what I'm eating, be a good person, take care of my Dad and be happy. Enjoy life! Don't sweat the small stuff, stick to the basics, you can't go wrong.
Tho is it too much to ask for more? Lately, I've reaching out to my Mom and asking her what is her plan for me? I know something is brewing but don't know what she has in store for me. Been doing a lot of soul searching....it's hard work! Sometimes you just don't want to go there. Takes a lot of focus and deep thoughts. Which I'm not very good at. Plus there are some things you're not ready to cop to. At the same time, it's exciting to know that at 54 years old, you're never too old to learn something. Cheers to a healthy and prosperous new year! Blah, blah, blah....just spouting the usual chatter for New Years. 2018 was a year of connecting with people I've known for over 30 years but never really talked to. It's been nice to see that some people haven't changed and still sooo nice! But it's also important that I'm still hanging out with my regular peeps. And celebrating NYE!
Lastly, the best way to start the new year is with my two furry babies! They are the loves of my life! Pic taken by a great friend! |

AuthorI'm fortunate enough to have an awesome job at a biotech company. I'm also blessed to have the bestest of friends in the world - from Castle Square, ATASK, and Jamie Club - you know who you are! Last but not least, I have a family that are always there for me. Categories |
